Microsoft Office Word-Text styles, Text Decoration and Writing Styles-Microsoft Office Word is used by the largest number of user worldwide to create or write documents. While creating a new document we need to write the text of the document in various styles. The style is some times the need of the document and sometimes for the purpose of decoration only. Microsoft office word provides a number of writing style options. For these options you need not to have any extra skill or any other software. All these options are provided within the Microsoft Office itself. Use of these style options is quite easy, just by clicking a button and some times by using a shortcut. Most of the user don’t use these options. These options of Microsoft Office Word are explained below –

Bold Text
Select the text and press the letter ‘B’ on top or press ‘Ctrl+B’, the selected text will be converted to bold. To convert the text back to normal select and repeat the command.
Italic Text
Select the text and press the letter ‘I’ on top or press ‘Ctrl+I’, the selected text will be converted to italic. To convert the text back to normal select and repeat the command.
Underline the text
Select the text and press the letter ‘U’ on top or press ‘Ctrl+U’, the selected text will be converted to underlined. To convert the text back to normal select and repeat the command.
Text Font Size
Select rhe text and select the font size from the drop down menu on top or press ‘Ctrl’ key and hold. Press ‘curly bracket key on keyboard’ (‘{‘) to increase keep on pressing and releasing repeatedly till you get the desired text size’, to decrease the font size select the text, press and hold the ‘Ctrl key’ press ‘curly bracket off key’(‘}’) selected text size will increase. Keep on pressing till you get the desired text size.
Strike through text
Select the text and open the font dialogue box by pressing the ‘Ctrl+D’, click the box before ‘Strikethrough’ and then click ‘OK’.
Double strike through text
Select the text and open the font dialogue box by pressing the ‘Ctrl+D’, click the box before ‘Double Strikethrough’ and then click ‘OK’.
Superscript text
Super script is very useful in mathemetical equations. Select the text and open the font dialogue box by pressing the ‘Ctrl+D’, click the box before ‘Strikethrough’ and then click ‘OK’.
Subscript text
Sub script is also very useful in mathemetical equations. Select the text and open the font dialogue box by pressing the ‘Ctrl+D’, click the box before ‘Subscript’ and then click ‘OK’.
Shadow text
Select the text and open the font dialogue box by pressing the ‘Ctrl+D’, click the box before ‘Shadow’ and then click ‘OK’.
Outline text
Select the text and open the font dialogue box by pressing the ‘Ctrl+D’, click the box before ‘Outline’ and then click ‘OK’.
Emboss text
Select the text and open the font dialogue box by pressing the ‘Ctrl+D’, click the box before ‘Emboss’ and then click ‘OK’.
Engrave text
Select the text and open the font dialogue box by pressing the ‘Ctrl+D’, click the box before ‘Engrave’ and then click ‘OK’.
Small caps text
Select the text and open the font dialogue box by pressing the ‘Ctrl+D’, click the box before ‘Small caps’ and then click ‘OK’.
All caps text
Select the text and open the font dialogue box by pressing the ‘Ctrl+D’, click the box before ‘All caps’ and then click ‘OK’.
Hidden text
Select the text and open the font dialogue box by pressing the ‘Ctrl+D’, click the box before ‘Hidden’ and then click ‘OK’.
